We always recommend our new models take some time to build a strong cam persona before going live. Here’s how to do it:

While we can’t 100% guarantee that someone won’t recognise you online, following these steps will greatly reduce the chances. Being thoughtful about your cam name, backstory, and persona helps protect your personal life and gives you the confidence to perform safely. Think of it as creating a safe, professional boundary between your online presence and your real identity.

Step 1: Pick Your Cam Name

Every cam model needs a fake name - this is non-negotiable!

Choose something:

• Sexy, sassy or sweet (depending on your vibe)

• Easy to spell and remember

• NOT linked to your real name or anything too personal

Avoid: Real surnames, your birth year, or anything that gives away your identity.

Step 2: Create a Backstory

This might sound a little extra, but it’s one of our favourite tips for keeping yourself safe online AND making your profile more believable and engaging.

We recommend making up a few basic details about your cam persona:

📍 Where are you from?

💼 What’s your "day job"?

💞 Are you single, dating, or married?

🎓 Where did you go to school?

🎯 Why did you get into camming?

These details should be fictional - never use your real location, real job, or actual life history.

Not only does this protect your identity, but it helps you answer personal questions confidently on cam without hesitation or risk. Plus… it’s actually really fun!

Step 3: Build a Vibe

Your cam persona isn’t just about facts it’s about the energy you bring.

Ask yourself:

• Are you the girl-next-door, the naughty temptress, the playful tease?

• What kind of language do you use?

• What kind of content do you enjoy creating?

Having a clear persona helps you attract the right audience and feel confident stepping into “character” every time you go live.
